A Ray Of Sunshine...

Chris and I just celebrated our 4th anniversary in December. This past year has been anything but easy for us. I've been feeling down again, wondering what we're going to do with our lives-- you know, that sort of thing. I think we all get in these ruts from time to time, wondering where our lives are going, what we're really going to do, are we really making a difference.

After spending most of the day feeling sorry for myself, I finally decided to snap out of it. I know that one way or another, I'm going to end up right where I'm supposed to be, and that I will make something out of myself. In the process, I was looking at our wedding pictures and reflecting. I was over 100lbs heavier, and looked like a bloated whale! Aside from that, the pictures that I DO have from our wedding, are pitiful. For those of you who don't know, I have very few "good" wedding pictures. Our photographer double exposed 72 of our wedding pictures.

Ok, so not gonna talk about that-- terribly depressing. The good news is, I DID stop payment on the check to the photographer, so they didn't get a dime for that shitty work on my photographs. Anyway, where I'm actually going with this post. I told Chris, that for our 10th anniversary, what I'd like more than anything is to go to Tahiti and Easter Island, and renew our vows. Hopefully by that time, I'll be even smaller, and be able to look the way I'd like to in a dress. In addition to being able to look the way I'd like, I'll be going to the two places in this world, I'd be willing to die to see *AKA: Get on the plane to see*. It's really given me something to look forward to!

I've had a dream to see these two places for as long as I can remember, and truly thought they'd always be a dream. Now, we're taking action. We're doing something to make them come true, and I feel really good about that. I hope you enjoy the pics I've posted here, these are some of the things I want to see, and do :0)

Okay, totally lost my entire comment! *ARGHHH!*

I was saying that 2007 should be the year of dreams coming true. I'm so sorry that your wedding pictures didn't turn out ok. But the memories should last you a lifetime, knowing you married the man you love.

I remember the first time I saw "Deb" in another light- when my friend started video taping my party and taking TONS of pictures. I was like, "That's me???" I had put on some weight and didn't recognize myself as the person I saw in the mirror everyday.

Point is, I started accepting myself as is, and I was comfortable. If you are comfortable and it isn't a health issue, remember, each woman carries herself in a different way. Beauty is only skin deep. What other people see as beautiful is a total turn around from what another sees.

You are beautiful and if you're comfortable, relish in that gorgeous frame of yours! Look at Tyra Banks! "THEY" think she's fat. Come on!!!! She is 5'11 and weights 160 lbs. She looks FABULOUS! In fact, I think she even looks better.

Go figure! Hmm, figure. *crosses eyes* I need coffee.

My brother took our wedding pictures, most of them are somewhat at a slant.

Oh I totally dig that sitting at the table in the sea. But I'd be freaking out about sharks. I might not be able to do it.

Hang in there... perhaps you should come by the Armchair for some inspiration. Today's blog post is all about that...

Remember, dreams and goals alike take time to bring to fruition. You will be "that size", "that day", in "that place" if you're heart is in it.

Now that's something to look forward to. I have always wanted to do something like that with redneckgirl. Something about the sand and the ocean waters just puts me in a romantic mood :)

We got married on the beach. We did it through a cruise. I think that sounds like a GREAT plan!!!! I love the picture of people eating in the ocean. That is pretty cool. I hope you get to do that!

Congrats to you both on your upcoming anniversary, AND in planning this out! Sounds like a great idea and TONES of fun!!

Did I sense a fear of planes or of flying in there? I caught on to that right away because that's how I word things that involve flying...which I'm deathly afraid of. But to fly to Australia or Hawaii...let's do it! lol. ;)
